The rapid expansion of the renewable energy market of the electrical power industry has provided PTS with another arena for the supply of our specialist design, installation and commissioning services. Our range of capabilities within the Transmission and Distribution networks allow us to provide a complete solution for the connection of onshore and offshore windfarms, tidal systems, waste to energy and other renewable sources to the electrical network.
The services that can be offered include –
| PROJECT MANAGEMENT |
|
 |
This is and has been a very topical and evident sector of the Electrical Power Industry over the last number of years. Windfarms, Biomass, and other forms of non-fossil fuel generation schemes have resulted in many new grid connection projects with the requirement to manage the entire process leading up to the design and build the new transmission and distribution infrastructure and associated substations.
The Project Management of these developments brings together the technical and commercial aspects together with satisfying environmental considerations and planning requirements.
Connection Offers and subsequent Connection Agreements require liaison and coordination between a number of parties. These include the Developer, the DNO, the TO / NGT, Local Authorities and Councils, Plant and Equipment Manufacturers, Specialist Consultants, Designers, Surveyors and Landscape Architects.
Our experience and abilities enable PTS to fully understand the requirements and to manage these processes on behalf of a range of clients. Our services include Grid connection design development and; coordination of Environmental impact assessments, Transport studies, OHL and cable route design studies, Geotechnical surveys and planning submission support. |
