At PTS, one of our fundamental beliefs is that the key to a successfully delivered project is a comprehensively engineered design. Based at our Head Office in Cheshire, we have a dedicated design team, made up of experienced Electrical Engineers, Designers, and Draughtspersons.

Our Design office is fully equipped with up to date CAD facilities including Raster conversion/editing packages, full colour A0 printers and copiers, and a comprehensive technical data library.

Our design team has expertise and experience at all voltage levels (11kV, 33kV, 132kV, 275kV, & 400kV) in the Transmission & Distribution, Petrochemical, Power Station, Ministry of Defence, and Renewable Power fields of the electrical power industry, in the UK and overseas.

Output from our Design team is tailored to our clients’ needs, from high level feasibility studies to complete detailed design packages, with construction drawings.

Our engineering and design services are available over a number of flexible terms, from competitive hourly rates to fixed price contracts, or alternatively as part of a complete turnkey solution.

This expertise can be offered to clients in a comprehensive engineering package to include any or all of the following:

		Upfront feasibility studies to evaluate system design options
		Technical reports as required for capital spend approval
		Initial keyline diagrams to assess plant and protection requirements
		Detailed protection and metering single line diagrams
		System change diagrams
		Production of specifications to allow Turnkey type contracts to be
		tendered along with full technical appraisal on tender return
		Technical specifications for all major plant and equipment, protection
		and control equipment and auxiliary equipment such as batteries and
		and LVAC boards.

		Telecontrol and SCADA systems
		Earthing design and layouts
		High Voltage power cable routing diagrams
		Production of detailed schemes and wiring diagrams
