At PTS we understand the necessity of a detailed and complete testing and commissioning regime to ensure that this vital phase is not only completed on programme but also thoroughly proven and correctly documented.
We have a dedicated team of highly experienced commissioning engineers with a thorough understanding of the generation, transmission and distribution schemes and equipment required for 6.6kV, 11kV, 33kV, 132kV, 275kV, and 400kV power systems.
We have successfully completed test and commissioning works on significant projects within the Regional Electricity Companies (REC), DNO, National Grid, and private industry sectors.
With our commitment to maintaining up to date training, authorisations, accreditations, modern, calibrated test equipment and familiarity with health & safety requirements we continue to meet and often exceed our clients testing and commissioning expectations.
With a permanent staff team of 12 Commissioning Engineers, 9 of these have full National Grid TP-141 authorisation, allowing them to undertake Lead Commissioning engineers roles on the NG System and demonstrating the high level of competency across the commissioning department.
As a team the Commissioning Engineers have authorisations with National Grid, Scottish Power, United Utilities, Central Networks, and EDF Energy, allowing our Engineers to carry out commissioning projects for these utilities, as well as the private sector. Our Commissioning Engineers are also trained in ECTIB Safety passports, first aid, IOSH and CDM, with the unique enhancement that several are Senior Authorised Person (SAP) accredited with United Utilities and EDF Energy.
Our commissioning services are available over a number of flexible terms, from competitive time and materials basis to fixed price contracts. Our goal is to provide a full and economic solution without compromising quality.
The PTS commissioning team has been built on the principle of carefully selecting individuals with the experience, skills, attitude and qualifications necessary to ensure an exceptionally high quality of service. We have focused on employing our engineers in permanent staff roles to ensure that continuity and quality is maintained.
