For ten years now Power Technology Solutions Limited have worked with and supported the electricity supply industry on a great number of projects all across the operational network. Since 1999, when PTS was established, initially to provide consultant support to Norweb in the Project Management and Commissioning disciplines, the company has gone from strength to strength and today is one of the leading project support and delivery companies in the Electricity Transmission and Distribution Industry.
During the company’s growth and development, additional areas of expertise have been added to the portfolio of services that can be offered by PTS such that a complete design and build package can be provided to all clients. From conceptual Design, through to a fully Detailed Design package, Installation and Construction of all electrical equipment, along with Commissioning and Operational services; Complement this with Project Management and HSQE departments and PTS are a complete solution company. These services are provided to DNO customers at 11/33kV through 132kV to National Grid at 275/400kV.
Today our client base is nationwide and our project sites stretch from the north of Scotland to the south of England. Our customers include the largest DNO’s in the United Kingdom; UU, EDF Energy, Scottish Power, Central Networks and CE Electric. Add to this, the project work that is delivered on behalf of Siemens, Areva and ABB for National Grid and the high level of PTS experience and expertise is clear.
Having established such a valued client base, PTS looked at plans for further expansion within not only the T&D industry but other market sectors. Always looking to diversify, PTS have developed various opportunities and in today’s environmentally conscious society the area of energy generation utilising renewable resources is a fast growing arena. PTS have recently completed such a project on Teesside on a Biomass, waste to energy plant. To continue the diversification, PTS now have a fully equipped manufacturing facility where we produce various panels; control and protection relay panels, marshalling kiosks, pilot termination boxes and metering panels etc. |
